For comprehensive infrastructural development in its primary schools, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has approved an amount of Rs 22.According to SDMC mayor Shyam Sharma, construction of 70 classrooms, 39 toilet blocks, six halls, two principal rooms and two storerooms in eight schools and improvement of boundary wall have been approved. Construction will be done in remaining schools as per their requirement. The construction of around 40 toilet blocks will go a long way in providing emphasis on cleanliness.For comprehensive infrastructural development in its primary schools, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has approved an amount of Rs 22. The mayor has also instructed the concerned department to take up the work on priority basis as they are of urgent nature. The improvement in boundary wall in the schools had become essential keeping in view the security aspect in the primary school wherein kids in the age group of six to ten are studying,” said Mr Sharma. “Everything can wait but works related to education cannot,” he said. The construction of 12 classrooms, one principal room, one hall and improvement of boundary wall will be done at Humayunpur’s school in Safdarjang Enclave.As per the approved plan, 10 class rooms, two storerooms, one hall and four toilet blocks and improvement in boundary wall will be done at the school in PTS Colony, Malviya Nagar.
